DRC Contribution

SINCE 2008, KATANGA HAS DRAMATICALLY INCREASED ITS PRODUCTION CONTRIBUTING MILLIONS IN TAXES AND ROYALTIES TO THE DRC

We have provided additional assistance to our host communities, including support for 40 agricultural cooperatives, offering employment to rural and urban communities, support for water pumps, and investments in programs that will have a transformative influence on the whole region, such as the INGA dam project – set to provide a stable source of electricity to thousands of people and businesses across Katanga province.

Other community investments have assisted with the renovation and construction of schools and four modern, fully-equipped hospitals to improve living standards. In the field of education, KCC and MUMI have supported 14 primary schools, 4 technical institutes and one university.

Altogether our project’s investments in infrastructure have helped provide services for Kolwezi’s population of almost 1 million people
