One of the world's largest producers of copper cathodes
The Fleurette Group has interests in two major copper-cobalt projects in the Katanga province. In partnership with Glencore, it has a stake in Mutanda Mining and is a minority stakeholder in Katanga Mining - a large-scale copper-cobalt project with world-class, high-grade mineral reserves and integrated metallurgical operations.
Mutanda Mining (known as “MUMI”) comprises the Mutanda and Kansuki concessions in the Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of Congo which were merged in July 2013, and the Chabara concession acquired from Chabara in February 2015.
MUMI is jointly owned by Glencore and Fleurette. MUMI is managed by Glencore who also have an offtake contract for all copper and cobalt production. MUMI is a high-grade copper and cobalt producer. Total copper production for 2014 was up 31% to 197,129 tonnes (2013: 150,553 tonnes).DISCOVER MORE
